JUST SAYING HELLO

It's nice to read the blog and read how everybody is doing (well almost all of you) I guess I need to get on it more, but like most of you I just get to busy (more like lazy) but no more. I'll try to get more like at least once a week and check the blog. Well now hope all you guys are riding those bikes, mando I know we don't have worry about you but TONE,JIMMY,ME TO, we have to take it a little more serious we only have 8 weeks left before the ride so let's get going. All my kids are doing fine, like you mando we have to start getting ready for a babyshower here to. HEY bubba if you come down in a couple weeks to help me do my windows you'll get to see melissa play soccer against USC. Little mark glad to here your coaching, they say the best coaches are the one's that don't play because you teach the fundmental's of that sport. Not behind the back, over the top or whatever, just straight basic's so I know you are going to be a great coach, oh and your kid's got there skill's from there uncle's (CASTILLO) mostly me. Just don't let them ride bike's with me cause they call me crash. Well that's it for know hope to here from all of you

Baseball Season

Hello All,

Well, it's baseball season again. The Mark and Joseph are in the Majors for Norther Little Leagues Ports. Dillon is play tball for the Northern Red Sox and guess who is the coach?!?!?!?! Me. I wasn't applying for the job but the president asked me if I would coach because he was without a coach and has seen me around a lot and I'm pretty active in the with the teams the boys play on. I have never volunteered to coach because of my unfamiliarity with baseball, but I bought a "Coaching Tball" book and have read up on some drills and basic fundamentals for tball so I'll try my best and as long as the kids have fun; that is what is most important.

Mark is doing good, this is his second year in the Majors, he should've played in the minors last year but because of his size and because he probably looked like he could play they bumped him up. This year he looks more comofortable and I think he is looking forward to the season.

This is Joey's first year in the majors and in little league. He's played for the Jr. Giants but that is a city sponsored program that is not as competitive as regular little league. I was aprehensive about letting him play with the majors but the coach said he looked really good for his age and his newness and he would be alright, a little rough but so was Mark when he started and he has progressed well. Joey does look good playing and actually looks a little better than Mark. I think he got the natural Castillo ability to play sports. He probably got my share as well since I'm not as athletic as I could be.

Dillon is starting to like the game. At first he wasn't too enthusiastic because he couldn't throw or catch. He still can't catch with the glove, but he's only 5 and he'll get there. At first he wanted to quit but I think as he's seen himself get better in the past few weeks, even though he knows he cant play like his brothers, I think he's more optimistic.

Ok. My monthly diatribe is over, I'll write again soon when I can and will have pictures of the boys playing ball.

Take care and God Bless.

Training

Hello out there!!! I trained on the bike today. Trained real hard. I rode 41 miles at a fast pace. I most ly kept the speed at 19 mph. There were times that I hit 20 and 21 mph. I mean, I waas cooking. My heart rate was up to 138. Normally I keep that at 123. Oh yeah, I was in a training mode. And now, 4 hours later, I feel the pain. I am a little sore. But, no pain, no gain. I am getting ready for my 100 mile run. I will tell you when I do it. Are you ready to ride?

Salutations

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is fine. Olivia and I are doing just fine thank you.

I have been busy painting the house and trying to get ready for Marina's baby shower. That means I have to have the house ready for the party. You know, clean, clean and clean.

I am still biking as much as the weather permits me. And it sure feels good to ride. That was a long winter. I have not bought any new bike stuff, so no new pictures.

Olivia is still working. I think she is starting to look forward to retiring. She sees all my free time and gets kind of antsy.

My grandkid, Joaquin Armando Recinos, is growing fast. Man what a good looking kid. Definitely a Castillo.

Well, I have to go now. I hope to hear from all of you soon. May God bless all of you. Be good, be kind and have a good day.

My Olive Tree

It looks like it is starting to take a good shape.

The painter

Actually, I am the supervisor. My two painters are working. Also, check the other picture with this one and you will notice the difference in the house.

Getting to full bloom.

The Tree

Here is a picture of my trees in the front yard. I called this "Snow flakes blossom on a tree".
